The CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate course comprises of 5 units, which are delivered using a blend of group interaction, case studies and role plays to support the CIPS course material. We have a clear objective which is to ensure students are able to relate the learning to practical experience in the workplace.

Understand the different sectors procurement & supply deal with. Pricing arrangements. The external market environment, the impact of “Trumponomics”. Procedures that regulate the procurement and supply environment.

L3M2: Ethical Procurement and Supply

Techniques that can achieve added value and contribute to the organisation’s success. Tasks at each stage of the Sourcing process. The significance of ethics for procurement and supply. How operational performance of the function can be measured and improved.

L3M3: Contract Administration

Administrative content and key tasks associated with commercial contracts. Understand how to achieve competitive pricing and the role of negotiation in procurement. How to achieve effective tendering. How to measure contract performance.

L3M4: Team Dynamics and Change

Roles of staff and how they can support overall organisational success in procurement and supply. Team Dynamics and the challenges associated with achieving organisational change. Triggers for change and methods to deal with change.

L3M5: Socially Responsible Procurement

The concepts of sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The environmental impact of procurement and supply. Globalisation v green logistics. Carbon footprint v low cost sourcing. It is the minimum qualification requirement to enter the profession or anybody wishing a dream career in procurement and supply. This qualification will assist you in knowing important facts, procedures and processes based on the Tactical and Operational level of our Global Standard in relation to anyone who wants to work in this profession.

What are credits?

Credits are a way of quantifying the number of study hours needed to complete a qualification. 1 credit is equivalent to 10 hours of study. Each module is given a credit value of 3 or 6 credits.

Candidates will have gained a clear understanding of facts, procedures and ideas related to procurement and supply. By the end of this course, students will be able to effectively interpret information and ideas and will have learned how to identify, gather and use relevant information.

For Personal Tutoring courses, students can start at any time. There is no deadline to enrol. For our Classroom courses, please contact us for more information on entry points and availability.

Yes. All study material is included in our course fees. Study resources consist of CIPS module textbooks, lecture slides, case studies and mock exam questions.

CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate usually takes around 6-12 months to complete.

You would then be required to pay for the examination fee to re-sit your exam.

Which CIPS Level is right one for me?

Selecting the right CIPS qualification level depends on your current experience and career goals in Procurement and supply. Here’s a brief guide:

Level 3 (CIPS Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations): Suitable for those with some experience in Procurement or those who have completed Level 2 and want to advance their knowledge.

Level 4 (CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply): Designed for professionals with some practical experience or those in supervisory or managerial roles. This is the first professional diploma in the CIPS framework.

Level 5 (CIPS Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply): For mid-level professionals with managerial responsibilities in procurement or supply chain roles or those who have completed Level 4 and want to deepen their strategic knowledge.

Level 6 (CIPS Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply): The highest level, aimed at senior procurement professionals or those aspiring to leadership positions. It focuses on advanced strategic and managerial skills.

If you haven’t previously studied a CIPS qualification, we would recommend you would enter at either Level 3 or Level 4.

Distance Learning would be ideal if you prefer a self-paced approach and are comfortable with independent study. It’s also the more cost-effective option.
